The Lady, The Man and, unfortunately, I hung out in Seattle last week. Now don’t get me wrong, I love hanging with The Lady and The Man but I prefer doing it at The Manse… alas, too often for my taste, The Lady shoves me into that box, throws me in the back seat of a car and bam, when I wake up, we’re in a manse where lots of other humankinds are hanging out… the inhumanity… but I digress…
The Lady’s two cheesy friends, Jimme and Natasha, were in Seattle last week and on Saturday, while The Lady was doing cheesy stuff for Murray’s and QFC, Jimme and Natasha went to the cheese Mecca of my world, Beecher’s Handmade Cheese and made Flagship Cheese and those oh so glorious fresh cheese curds… oh boy… and you know what that means… cheese curds for moi…
The Lady and The Man met them at Pike’s Place Market after their morning in the Beecher’s Cheese Mines and sent home a container (to moi) packed tight with fresh curds, still warm and squeaky.
Salty, pliable and delish, I had to fight off The Man to get my fair share… if only I had those opposable thumbs… things would be different around The Manse… but at least, while he was swooning, I swooped in and carted away my “fair” share…
According to Jimme and Natasha, it was one of their best cheese days ever… of course, it was, they were making cheese curds…
I’ve never eaten whey but the curds part is sure hard to beat…
From the folks who gave us No Woman, I give their fresh, cheese curds 4 Paws out of 4 Paws (cause that’s all I’ve got).
