Natasha Manning: Division Cheese Specialist, King Soopers
I was invited to interview for my current job when my supervisor remembered I had self-published a children’s book I had written and illustrated. She felt the job required someone with an entrepreneurial and creative spirit. As I had little previous cheese experience, I began delving into cheese and acquiring as much cheese knowledge as possible. I am still learning more about cheese on the daily and the interest began then!
I work for King Soopers City Market as a Division Cheese Specialist. Luckily for me, no day is typical! It could involve training associates about cheese, working in one of our 80 cheese shops, merchandising cheese shops, planning remodels and grand openings, participating in offsite cheese events or analyzing cheesy data!
