In May 2010, The Lady had the honor of being treated to lunch at the world headquarters of Sartori Foods and meeting the fine folks who own and run the company. The Bellavitano Gold line of cheeses were featured . These are sweet, nutty, crumbly cheeses that we both like… a lot… we reviewed several of these cheese and you can read my thoughts by clicking here and also by clicking here. Before we head into the final week of “April is Grilled Cheese Month”, The Lady and I wanted to use Bellavitano Gold and we paired it with Boar’s Head Capicola. This is one tasty sandwich. The sweetness of the cheese combines with the heat of the Capocollo to create quite a taste explosion. Grilled cheese doesn’t get any better than this.

Beginning with Grilled Cheese #24, The Lady has agreed to let me choose the meat pairing and because April 24th is easter, the next grilled cheese posted will feature Sylvilagus audubonii, a delicacy that I discovered when The Lady, The Man and I lived in the Western end of the Sonoran Desert.
