Tonight The Lady prepared a special cheese board using the new 34 Degree Sweet Crisps in four flavors: Graham, Cinnamon, Caramel and Chocolate.
Alone and naked (the crisps… not The Humankinds), we liked the caramel sweet crisp the best; but it is hard to pick real favorites with all the combos served… but I’ll try…
She served these tasty little crackers with Comte, Parrano, Sleeping Beauty and BelGioioso’s Mascarpone and Vintner’s Kitchen’s Pinot Colada Jam and Kelly’s Habanero Pepper Jelly.
The initial pairings were crisps and cheese only: Comte with the Chocolate – primo; Sleeping Beauty with the Graham – another winner; Cinnamon and BelGioioso’s Mascarpone and Parrano with the Caramel… woohoo!!!
Then we began playing with lots of combinations and found all of them to be delicious pairings… some better than others…
The favorite combination was the 34 degree chocolate with Mascarpone and Habanero Jelly. The heat of the Habanero, the creaminess of the Mascarpone and the sweet chocolate made The Man swoon.
The second favorite was the Caramel Crisp with Mascarpone and the Pinot Colada Jam.
We added strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries and declared the 34 Degree and cheese board another successful cheese adventure at The Manse.
I give the new 34 Degree Sweet Crisps 4 Paws out of 4 Paws (cause that’s all I’ve got).
