Tillamook Sit and Snack Cheeseboards

The Good Folks at Tillamook County Creamery Association sent me two of their  Sharp Cheddar, Crackers and Jam Sit and Snack Cheeseboards.

These are a great way to take a healthy, tasty snack with you wherever you go and want a “pick-me-up”. Ideal after working out (or so I’m told… 🙂 ), at the park, break time at work, road trips. They are kid-friendly; perfect for kids’ sporting events. (If it’s your time to provide snacks for the team, these are healthy and easy. The other parents will be jealous.)

I received two versions, both with their Iconic Sharp, White Cheddar – one had Strawberry Heat for the jam and the other Berry Crunch. The crackers both had rosemary added. The portion of cheese was generous as were the jam and crackers.

The Berry Crunch jam is Marionberry, grown in Oregon and similar to Blackberries. The Strawberry Heat has just enough kick to keep you wanting more.

Suggested retail is $3.49. More info is available on the Tillamook website.

The Man swooned and wanted more than his fair share… I know I was shocked that he didn’t want to share… As for me, put Tillamook Cheese on my plate and I am one happy cheesemonger.

Those of you who have followed this blog for the past decade know that I am a huge fan of all things Tillamook. When we lived in the Pacific Northwest, the Extra Sharp Vintage White Cheddar was ALWAYS in our fridge. Spaulding Gray loved their cheeses so much that Tillamook named him “Fan of the Month” in November 2009. It’s not as easy to find Tillamook around here, but I do carry Cape Meares in my fridge at Sweet Combs of Honey. You can also find a selection of Tillamook cheeses in my Amazon Influencer storefront.

In addition to being a member of the Internationale Guilde des Fromagers (Jura and Garde) and an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional, I am a Certified ServSafe Food Production Manager with certifications that also include ServSafe Certified Instructor and Proctor. I am available for cheese events, cheese program development, cheese training, food safety training and 3rd party food safety auditing. See my About Me and Resume pages for more details or call me at 360 921 9908 to discuss availability.

Tillamook provided the cheese for this post but no quid pro quo was expected (unlike politicians). The opinions are my own.

I sample specialty artisan cheeses  most Fridays or Saturdays at Sweet Combs of Honey: Check out my “Grab n Go” page at Facebook for more information.

The Man, aka Peter M. Wright, has written his first novel: Gold Fever, available at amazon.com as a kindle book for only $2.99.

Written in the flavor of one of our favorite movies, Romancing the StoneGold Fever is a romantic adventure that brings together an archeologist looking to establish his name in his field and a rock star on the verge of burn-out.

In GOLD FEVER  an Archeologist motivated by a newly discovered clue, searches for a fabled Native American Legend – the long ago lost Seven Golden Cities of Cibola. While the Archeologist seeks to prove the legend is actually true, he is constantly under attack by a second group seeking the treasure.
