What’s better than cheese and bacon and pasta to start the day?” Who am I to argue with The Man? After 42 years of marriage, I have learned he is “w”right all the time. As you will see below in the short video, making Cabot Premium Mac n Cheese is so easy even a caveman can make it… assuming he has a pot, a stove and running water. From start to finish, less than 15 minutes; the majority watching the water boil…
The pasta is organic; the cheese powder is Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar with all natural ingredients including smoky bacon. All you need in addition to the pot, stove and running water is a little salt for the pasta water, 3 tablespoons of milk and 3 tablespoons of Cabot butter.
While draining the cooked pasta (do not rinse) through a colander, add the milk and butter to the warm pot you cooked the pasta in and stir to melt the butter (better to use butter at room temperature – I keep a stick or two of butter out on the counter for everyday use). When melted and mixed, add the cheese powder. With the Bacon flavor, the kitchen was immediately filled with the aroma of smoked bacon… since it’s from Vermont, I’m betting it was Maple-smoked but I’m just guessing. At that point stir the drained (but not rinsed) organic pasta back into the cheese sauce, stir to coat the pasta and stir to coat. Serve.
The Man LOVED the bacon flavor… it was smoky and bacony… The Man swooned…
