Only 9 days left to enter the Rogue Creamery Cheese and Swag giveaway!!
Last night I shared the Rogue Creamery Cheddars being given away in the Rogue Creamery Thanksgiving Giveaway and they were a hit:
Jefferson Cheddar is a classic Northwest-style cheddar; nutty and sweet with a tangy pineapple finish. As it ages, it becomes sharper. The piece we sampled last night was younger and smooth.
INGREDIENTS: Certified Organic pasteurized whole cow’s milk, salt, enzymes, cheese cultures
Rogue’s Mary is an herbed cheddar speckled with the fragrant and woody notes of organic rosemary. While prominent, the rosemary is not over-powering. You know it’s there but only enough to blend with the creamy savory cheddar.
INGREDIENTS: Certified Organic pasteurized whole cow’s milk, Organic rosemary, salt, enzymes, cheese cultures
The third cheese on the platter was Whoa Nellie; a crumbly cheddar filled with large dices of jalapeno. (This was my favorite.) Spicy, but not too spicy – I would have liked more but I live in the “the spicier, the better”.
Ingredients: USDA Certified Organic Pasteurized Cow Milk, Organic Jalapenos, Salt, Enzymes and Cheese Cultures
Rogue Creamery is on a mission**:
- Inspired by a sense of place for over 85 years, Rogue Creamery draws from the beauty and flavors of Southern Oregon’s Rogue River Valley to create organic, handcrafted cheeses that have won international acclaim. But creating the world’s best cheese is only part of our mission. We know that business can be used as a force for good. That’s why we became Oregon’s first public benefit corporation, “B Corp” for short, joining a global movement of companies that are committed to making the world a better place. Click Here to view our 2020 Impact Report and learn more about how we use business – and in our case, cheese – to benefit our community and planet.
- Rogue Creamery has been ranked as a “Best For the World” B Corporation since 2017, because we place in the top 10% of B Corps worldwide for our positive impact on our community and environment. This is measured by an independent governing body, B Lab, using a biennial audit of our business practices.
- Rogue Creamery is Animal Welfare Review Certified by Validus. You can trust that we treat our dairy cows with respect, giving them clean, healthy living conditions and a superior quality of life. This certification ensures compliance with standards of Validus Animal Welfare.

The Man, aka Peter M. Wright, has written his first novel: Gold Fever, available at amazon.com as a kindle book for only $2.99.
Written in the flavor of one of our favorite movies, Romancing the Stone, Gold Fever is a romantic adventure that brings together an archeologist looking to establish his name in his field and a rock star on the verge of burn-out.
In GOLD FEVER an Archeologist motivated by a newly discovered clue, searches for a fabled Native American Legend – the long ago lost Seven Golden Cities of Cibola. While the Archeologist seeks to prove the legend is actually true, he is constantly under attack by a second group seeking the treasure.
The Man is currently writing a sequel to Gold Fever. Gold Fever and his non-fiction books are available through Amazon’s lending library.
